About Us
Eric & Lisa
Eric and Lisa have called Washington home since 1989. Eric recently retired after 30 plus years of military service. He started his career in the Navy, and finished it in the Army. That’s a funny story. But, now that he’s retired, we affectionately call him Captain Seadaddy! Eric is a graduate of Seattle University School of Nursing. Lisa graduated from the physical therapy program at UW, “Go Dawgs!” Lisa works as a Physical Therapist and teaches yoga too. Eric and Lisa love to travel and explore the PNW. Boating and fishing in Puget Sound is a passion, or obsession, depending on how you look at it. You may find us on the trail, with our awesome dog Brix, on Puget Sound fishing for that fresh crab or salmon, or camping somewhere in the Cascades. We love all things outdoors. We feel so fortunate to live in this amazing place with so much nature to enjoy. When we moved to Tacoma in 2009, we soon realized how difficult it was for us to find safe, covered and local storage for our boat, “Red”. Eric said, “We need to open and RV an Boat Storage facility. The kind of facility we would want for ourselves.” The idea for The Shed was born. After Eric Retired from the Army in 2017, we put our heart into making this dream come true, for us and for all of you. We are so happy to be partners in this business with Eric’s brother and best friend, Allan and his wife MiChelle, Lisa’s best friend.
Allan and MiChelle
Allan graduated from Texas A&M with a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1986, earning a regular Army commission through his strong work in the A&M Corp of Cadets. After completing his Army commitment, he and MiChelle moved to Washington where Allan quickly found employment in the equipment rental industry. Allan loves woodworking, all things fishing, being in the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. MiChelle was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Having spent the majority of summers camping with her extended family, she learned early on to cherish the special times and memories made while enjoying nature with loved ones. We named our boat after MiChelle’s great grandmother in honor of the importance of making such memories. MiChelle is an RN at a local surgery center by day, and an aspiring artist most of the other time. Allan and MiChelle have been married 33 years, have two children, and love living in Tacoma.
